Welcome to planDisney, Ariana!
Your upcoming Disneyland Resort trip is Just Around the Riverbend. There's something so magical about taking your little Mouseketeer to The Happiest Place on Earth. This summer, my son was able to meet the REAL Lightning McQueen and the REAL Mater when we visited
Cars Land at
Disney California Adventure Park. He was mesmerized. He also got to hold Mickey Mouse's hand as they walked down the street together. It was probably the greatest moment of my son's life.
Ariana, you'll be pleased to know that, since your child is under three years old, they are considered a "Guest of Mickey." This means they don't require a theme park ticket or theme park reservation. Also, you might be helped to know that if you decide to purchase
Disney Genie+, your child will be able to join you on any attractions that you make Lightning Lane selections for (assuming they meet the height requirement, of course). But one thing to note: if you decide to make dining reservations, you'll want to include your child in the Guest count. This way, the Cast Members will make sure you have a table big enough for your family.
Here's a tip: if you visit Disney California Adventure, spend some time at
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in Grizzly Peak. My own Mouseketeers loved running, climbing, balancing, sliding, swinging, and exploring this fantastic area. If you visit Disneyland Park, explore the nooks and crannies of
Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyland Park. My daughter was very proud of herself for finding the hidden treasure.
Have a great trip, Ariana!
Mike
