Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Mike! Thanks for dropping by with your question. I see that you have a trip planned really soon! I bet you are getting so excited!
Mike, I'm happy to see that you have
park hopper tickets. Park hopping is my favorite way to spend a Disney day. Park hopping returned to us at the start of this year and does look a little bit different than it did before. To park hop, you must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option and a
park pass reservation for an initial theme park to visit each day. On the day of, you must scan in and enter the park with the park pass reservation first. This sort of "activates" your park hopper feature each day. It is not necessary or even possible to hold multiple park pass reservations for one single day. You'll just need that initial park each day. Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evening. To make park hopping a little bit easier for Guests at this time, complimentary park-to-park transportation is being provided.
Because of the new system for park hopping, Mike, you will need to go to that first theme park with the park pass reservation even if it is after 2:00 p.m. I've actually tested this theory out before and they can tell and will send you back to the theme park with the park pass reservation first. You don't have to spend any time at that park, perse, you just have to scan your ticket in.
I hope this helps sort out where you'll need to go on your arrival day, Mike. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help. Also, if you haven't already, head over to the all-new
planDisney Instagram page and follow along. Over there you'll find all of the latest news and get to follow along with panelists in the parks. It's a lot of fun!
Hope you have a great day!
