How do you make park reservations if you buy your tickets on a military installation?

Hi there, Scott! Welcome to planDisney.

Thank you for your service to our country. As a military spouse, I am so grateful for the excellent discounts available to us when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm happy to hear you're planning a trip of your own.

Tickets purchased at military base ticket offices come in various forms, so you will need to do a little investigating to see which type of ticket you have. Some bases sell plastic ticket cards with a set of numbers on the back (some numbers may be covered by a scratch-off section), and others may have exchange certificates, which look like paper or card stock vouchers. Either way, these tickets can be linked to your My Disney Experience account so you can make your Theme Park Reservations.

You can use either the My Disney Experience mobile app or the desktop version. I like to use the app because it has a handy barcode scanner. Using the app, tap the three horizontal lines on the bottom right of the screen. Then, tap "Tickets & Passes." Next, tap the "+" in the top right and then "Link Tickets & Passes" to add your new tickets. On this next screen, you can either type in the Ticket ID or scan the barcode on a ticket card. If you're not sure where to find your Ticket ID, tap "Where is the ID number?" to see a list of sample tickets. Once the number has been accepted, follow the steps to link your ticket to a member of your party. Follow these steps for each ticket. Sometimes the military tickets can be difficult to link, so if you run into any issues with the system, reach out to a Cast Member at the My Disney Experience Help Desk.

Once all your tickets are linked, you'll be ready to make your Theme Park Reservations. There's a helpful video on the Disney Park Pass System webpage to guide you through this process.

Scott, I hope you get your tickets linked as easily as "bibbidi bobbidi boo!" As you continue to make your plans, the Disney Parks Blog is a great resource for news and planning tips. Your friends here at planDisney are happy to help if you have any further questions. Have the BEST time!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
