Hi Jane!
Welcome back to planDisney! We are thrilled to hEAR you have an upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. Getting all the details finalized is a bit like conducting an orchestra...only instead of instruments, you are conducting reservations for parks, dining, and hotel instead. So let me roll up my sleeves and put on Mickey's Sorcerer's hat to answer your question.
Before you can add a new reservation to your account, you’ll have to cancel your existing Disney Park Pass reservation. But warning: this could all go crazy just like it did for Donald when he took the sorcerer hat in
Mickey’s PhilharMagic. Before you cancel your current Disney Park Pass reservation, check the
availability calendar first to ensure that the park you want is available for that day. No sense cancelling one perfectly good park if the other park does not have any park passes still up for grabs.
You’ll simply log onto “My Plans” on the
Walt Disney World website, then scroll down to the
Disney Park Pass reservation you want to change. Click “View Details” then choose “Cancel This Reservation.” Once your current Disney Park Pass reservation is deleted, you are free to make a new Disney Park Pass selection.
What I learned from having to modify my Park Pass reservations is that Guests are making changes to their
My Disney Experience plans on a daily basis. So there’s always the chance for a last minute opportunity if at first glance, nothing seems available. I had to do this for my recent vacation by deleting my existing Park Pass reservation and then adding one for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. After checking it for a few days, availability opened up and I was able to get exactly what I wanted.
Jane, you’re a real wizard with the planning questions, so cast a spell and come back to planDisney if you need our help again. Wishing you a FANTASMIC vacation!
