Hey there, Emily! Welcome to planDisney!
It looks like you'd like to visit a park at the Disneyland Resort in a few weeks! I can't blame ya! Some of our favorite Nighttime Spectaculars have just returned to the Happiest Place on Earth, so you'll be able to check those out on the date you're able to visit. The
Main Street Electrical Parade,
World of Color and
Disneyland Forever Fireworks are all back and ready to wow Guests!
As you know Emily, valid theme park tickets and theme park reservations are required to visit either
Disneyland Park or
Disney California Adventure Park. If you
purchase tickets via the Disneyland Resort website, you'll be prompted to choose the date of your visit on the calendar. That will also serve as your park reservation once you complete the checkout process. I find that this is the easiest way to do it, as everything is organized and in one place.
If you purchase tickets through a third-party vendor or already have a ticket without a confirmed date, you will need to
make park reservations separately. Click the blue option for "Make a Park Reservation" and then select "Book a Theme Park Reservation." You'll create your party on the next page, but this will only be possible once your
tickets are linked. Continue on to choose the date and starting park for the day of your visit and Ka-Chow! You're officially reserved!
Emily, there is a chance that both parks are unavailable on the date you'd like to visit. If this happens, you may want to bookmark the reservation page and continue checking each day. Guests' plans change all the time, so if someone else happens to cancel their park reservation, it will go back in the system for another Guest to reserve. If there is only one date you can visit and you're unable to make a park reservation, maybe consider checking out the
Downtown Disney District! With all the dining, snacking and shopping your heart could desire, you could spend all day wandering around Downtown Disney and still experience that same Disney magic!
