We have park reservation and tickets for Hollywood studios on Aug 1st 2021.. MY DVC advisor said we are able to pick three attractions to go on? Where do I go to do that? how far in advance do we do that? THanks Ann

    Hi Ann!

Welcome Home, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you are one of the newest Members of Disney Vacation Club! My family became Members more than 12 years ago and it has been one of the very best things we have done for our family. It has been an investment in family time, memories, and fun!

Under normal circumstances, all Guests staying at a Disney Resort Collection Hotel, including those staying at Disney Vacation Club Resorts, can reserve up to three attractions per day with Disney’s FastPass+, 60 days before resort check-in, for their entire length of stay. Day Guests may select FastPass+ attractions 30 days in advance. However, since we are not yet back to normal circumstances with the pandemic, Disney’s FastPass+ is not currently available. It has yet to return since the reopening of the theme parks last summer. At this time, Disney has not announced if or when FastPass+ will be returning.

While on the surface this may seem disappointing, I’m going to give you my personal observation on visiting the parks both with and without FastPass+. I love FastPass+ for the knowledge that we are virtually guaranteed three of our favorite attractions each day. My daughter for example loves Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and I appreciate being able to tell her that we have a FastPass+ for her favorite attraction. However, when we visited without FastPass+ in October, I found we did just fine without them. Since the standby lines are not put into a pause to allow all those with FastPass+ to priority board, the standby lines kept moving and we really didn’t mind the lines at all. I felt many of the standby lines actually moved faster than typical.

If Disney announces FastPass+ will return in time for your trip, be sure to go to My Disney Experience right away to select your FastPass+ attractions. But if FastPass+ does not return by August, and it may not, I wouldn’t get too concerned. Hopefully, they will be back in time for your second Disney Vacation Club stay in the future!

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
