I have a park reservation starting January 17 2024. Will the Skyliner be operational? It was under maintenance the same week of 2023 when I was there and I'm afraid that same week of January is always a week for Skyliner maintenance.

Hi Carol! Welcome to planDisney.

The second half of January is one of my favorite time frames to visit Walt Disney World Resort. You miss the holiday and Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend crowds, but you beat President's Day and Spring Break folks. I do advise you to pack in layers and temperatures are very hard to predict. And historically, you will catch the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.

I too am interested to know if the Disney Skyliner will be down for routine maintenance for my own vacation. Unfortunately, at this time, I have no news to share. However, I can tell you I am watching the Disney Parks Blog and online for any announcements. While it would definitely be a bummer, I can guarantee you alternative transportation will be available if my favorite gondolas are undergoing work.

When you visit in January, EPCOT should have two new experiences to take in. Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, and a new nighttime spectacular are anticipated to open by the end of 2023.
