We have a park reservation for a party of 6, is there a way to split our group so we can make separate ride reservations?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Aurora. We're so glad you're here to share this question with us. My goodness, your visit to the Disneyland Resort is practically here and I'm thrilled to help.

I'm so glad to hear that you are all set for your visit with your theme park tickets and theme park reservations. It sounds like you will be summoning the phenomenal cosmic powers of Disney Genie+ Service. Solid choice. Splitting up your group to make different Lightning Lane selections is a breeze in the Disneyland app. First, make sure all of your tickets are linked in the Disneyland app. To do this, tap on "☰" in the lower right to open the menu followed by tapping the "Tickets and Passes" tile. Next, tap on "+" in the upper right and then "Link Tickets & Passes" where you can use the "camera" feature to scan each ticket barcode or manually enter each ticket ID number.

Now that all of your tickets are linked, you will be able to make Lightning Lane selections for everyone. During the booking process, you will select the checkbox for each person to create your desired party for the Lightning Lane selection. There's also the option for each person to choose their own adventure and make Lightning Lane selections on their own. The easiest way to do this is to have each person link their own ticket in the Disneyland app on their phone. Quick tip, make sure to keep an eye on the Tip Board in the app to see when you can make your next Lightning Lane selection. I like to set an alarm on my phone to make the most of Genie+.

Be sure to take lots of pictures to remember your magical day. With Disney Genie+ Service, you get unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads from the day. This is especially great for meeting characters. The Disney PhotoPass photographers do such a wonderful job of capturing your interaction with characters. During my last visit, the photographer caught a snap of me taking a selfie with Ant-Man in Avengers Campus. This is one of my favorite photos from my visits. Oh, and be sure to ask for a Magic Shot (trust me).

Aurora, I hope this helps as you are getting ready to have your best Disney day. Have the best time and soak up every magical moment at the Happiest Place on Earth!
