Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Michael.
Are you getting so excited about your trip? It's right around the corner! It sounds like you all have a wonderful day planned. The morning enjoying attractions at
Magic Kingdom Park and dinner at
EPCOT is one of my favorite ways to spend a Disney day.
To "activate" your
park hopper ticket each day, you do need to scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation first. This applies even after the 2:00 p.m. park hopping time begins. Your wife doesn't need to spend any time at Magic Kingdom Park per se, but she would need to head over there first and scan in before heading to another Walt Disney World Theme Park. After she scans in with her ticket, she could hop on the monorail over to the Transportation & Ticket Center, switch lines and then meet you all at EPCOT.
Alternatively, if your wife knows that she wants to enjoy the resort activities in the morning, which by the way yoga at the resort sounds wonderful, you could simply change her
park pass reservation over to EPCOT. Then, she can just head straight there when you all are ready to visit that park later in the day. Even though you all are connected on your
MyDisneyExperience account, you are able to hold different park pass reservations. Changing hers to EPCOT instead will do nothing to your existing Magic Kingdom Park park pass reservation.
I hope this helps clear up any confusion you might have about this, Michael. If you have any other questions before you go, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Have fun and enjoy!
Jackie H.
