Hiya Sophie - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question. Our team of panelists loves to help Guests just like you plan your very own magical Walt Disney World Resort holidays!
Walt Disney World Resort introduced the
Park Pass Reservation system to better manage attendance and to ensure that all Guests have magical experiences within the Theme Parks. To be honest with you, since the introduction of the Park Pass Reservation system, there have been very few capacity challenges at the Theme Parks - it's great!
During extraordinarily busy days, usually associated with a major holiday, limits have been put on Park Hopping. In these rare instances, you would be notified of the limitation in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. For example, Guests who are hopping over to
Magic Kingdom Park after 2 p.m., but did
not have an original Park Pass Reservation for this park, could be restricted from entering in these scenarios. As a Guest with a Park Pass Reservation for Magic Kingdom Park, you should have no trouble entering the park at any time during the day, regardless of where else you may go that day.
Of course, sometimes the Villians get a bit bored and start causing trouble, so it's always a good idea to speak with the Cast Members at the entrance of the park before you leave if you are concerned. You can explain your concern, and ask about capacity. At the end of the day, these Cast Members would be the ones deciding who is permitted entry if the park reaches capacity, so in that situation, I would follow whatever advice they may have!
I hope this information is helpful as you plan your upcoming holiday. During your visit, make sure to check out my new favorite attraction -
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind - it's a blast!
