If I make park reservation for Feb 20, but then decide I want to go Feb 21, can I do this? What if I purchased Genie+ for Feb 20?

Hiya, Carole! I'm so glad your magic carpet flew over to us at planDisney!

Soon you'll be on your way to a whole new world (don't you dare close your eyes) as you head to The Most Magical Place on Earth! I see that you're ready to make some finishing touches to your vacation plans and I would love to help. Let me just grab my magic lamp...

Carole, you're right! Theme Park Reservations are required when planning to visit your desired parks during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I always recommend that Guests make these reservations as soon as they're able since some parks may run out of availability. Thankfully, you can always check the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to make sure that the park you wish to visit is available for the days of your trip!

With that being said, you are absolutely able to make a park reservation for February 20 and change it to February 21, depending on park availability. You would be able to go to My Plans through your My Disney Experience account, cancel the first Theme Park Reservation, then book a new reservation for the next day. However, I would make sure that you check the calendar right before you make this change to see if the park you'd like to visit is still available on February 21. I wouldn't want you to cancel your first reservation only to find that it's unavailable for the next day!

Disney Genie+ service is a great way to add "phenomenal cosmic power" to your magical vacation! If your plans are to purchase this service while on your trip, I'd recommend waiting until you know which date you will be visiting the parks. Disney Genie+ can be purchased starting at 12:00 midnight the morning of your park day and you can begin booking your first Disney Genie+ reservation at 7:00 AM, making this an easy add-on once you know which day you'll be visiting the park.

Of course, you can also upgrade your Theme Park Tickets to include Disney Genie+ service before you leave for your trip, too! Simply modify your ticket through the My Disney Experience website by clicking on My Plans, then toggling over to Tickets & Memory Maker underneath "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets." You should see an option to Change Ticket, which will allow you to modify. You can also make this upgrade through the My Disney Experience app or with the help of a Cast Member by calling (407) 939-5277. If you decide to call, I'd try calling right when the phone lines open at 7:00 AM since their magic can sometimes be in high demand!

Speaking of the My Disney Experience app, make sure you take some time to download and explore it before your trip! A little like holding a magic wand in your hand, you'll be able to unlock everything that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer. My favorite reasons to use it while on vacation are to check wait times for attractions and to mobile order food. This is a great way to minimize waits and maximize fun!

I hope I was able to help you today, Carole. If you have any other questions, please visit us again!

    See ya real soon!
