We have a park reservation for Epcot on the 31st but we won’t be showing up till roughly 10 PM. If the park reaches capacity will we still be allowed inside with our reservation?

    Hi Katarina,

Thanks for asking this critical question as you get ready to ring in the new year at EPCOT! I’m excited to hear you plan to arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort and head straight to this theme park where imagination and innovation are always in the spotlight. I’m happy to share what you can expect and help ease your mind for an exciting final few hours of 2023.

I confirmed with a helpful Cast Member that yes, as long as you have valid admission (tickets) and a theme park reservation secured for EPCOT on December 31, 2023 you will be allowed into the park at any time that day. I know it should be a busy day in the theme parks but please be reassured that the reservation system is in place to support your entry whenever it suits you on this special New Year’s Eve.

You can celebrate all night with special DJ dance parties around World Showcase! “Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration” will begin the iconic countdown at World Showcase Lagoon promptly at 11:54 P.M. so your park entry later in the evening will still allow you to enjoy this magical moment. This is sure to be the highlight of the night’s celebrations as you become part of a collective countdown of joy and anticipation as you ring in the new year together with a dazzling spectacular.

After the countdown, be sure to enjoy a final ride of the night on your favorite attractions! EPCOT is open until 1:00 A.M. after ringing in the new year, Katarina, so I hope you can say you started 2024 with some smiles, thrills, or nostalgia as you enjoy some special moments in EPCOT. Be sure and walk through the newly opened Dreamers Point in the World Celebration neighborhood for a look at this stunning new central plaza. Featuring a commemorative statue of Walt Disney, it’s sure to inspire you to chase your dreams and look ahead to a great big, beautiful tomorrow in 2024.

Wishing you a memorable and safe New Year’s Eve visit to EPCOT!

    Cheers,
    Amy
