Hi there, Melissa! Oh boy, oh boy! One of my favorite parts of a visit to
Disneyland Resort is the planning and anticipation leading up to it. Thank you for letting me be a small part of that excitement and for bringing your question to us at planDisney.
Let’s jump right in. The official park reservation policy explains that
theme park reservations are released on a rolling basis, with dates opening up over time as determined by Disney. I checked the park reservation availability calendar, and for standard One Park Per Day or Park Hopper tickets, reservations are currently available through July 6, 2026.
When I select the California Resident Park Hopper Ticket, availability only shows through May, which aligns with the eligibility window for that specific ticket type, and what you may be seeing. Since you mentioned you are in Surrey (which truly is beautiful), you will want to be sure you are not selecting a California Resident ticket unless you have a valid California ID. Additionally, that ticket would not be eligible for an August visit.
I know waiting for August dates to open can make planning feel a little tricky, but the good news is that you can book your
Disneyland Resort hotel stay now. Staying onsite adds a wonderful layer of magic and makes the countdown feel even more real. Each of the three Disneyland Resort hotels offers immersive theming, comfort, and that special Disney touch from morning to night.
Historically, park reservations tend to open around six months in advance of your visit. I recommend setting a calendar reminder so you can start checking back as your dates approach to purchase your
tickets and secure your park reservations as soon as they become available.
I hope this helps bring a little clarity and peace of mind as you plan, Melissa. If you have any more questions along the way, please come back and see us. We are always happy to help you plan the magic.
Many magical memories to you,
Kimberly
