If I have a park reservation for California Adventure and leave for awhile for a dining reservation at Storyteller Cafe, will I be allowed back in California Adventure when my meal is complete? Trying to decide whether to make a reservation there or not.

It’s a small world after all, Michelle, and I’m so glad you found your way back to planDisney! I’d love to help you with another great question.

I’m so glad to hEAR that you’re considering booking a dining reservation at Storytellers Cafe – not only is it easily accessible to Disney California Adventure Park, but the food and atmosphere are top-notch, too! Just keep in mind that you’ll only experience Disney Characters during breakfast and brunch at Storytellers Cafe, in case that makes a difference for your family.

I’m happy to report that you will be able to return to Disney California Adventure Park after your meal at Storytellers Cafe. In fact, going back-and-forth between Storytellers Cafe and Disney California Adventure Park is very convenient, since the theme park has a private entrance to Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The entrance to the Grand Californian is located just across from Grizzly River Run, and is exclusive to hotel Guests; however, since you have a reservation to dine at Storytellers Cafe, you’ll be allowed to use it. Simply pass through the turnstiles for your dining reservation, then turn right when you get to the pathway. Make your next left, and Storytellers Cafe will be on your right-hand side, just across from the Pools at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. When you’re done, you can head back toward the special entrance into the theme park. You’ll pass through security again, and then show your tickets at the turnstiles to re-enter the theme park.

If you happen to be visiting during the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort, I highly recommend heading into the Great Hall lobby of the hotel – it’s exquisite, especially when decorated for the holidays! Take a seat in a rocking chair looking toward the huge fireplace, or check out Acorns Gifts & Goods for some merchandise unique to the Grand Californian.

I hope this information helps, Michelle! Please stop back with any additional questions… we’re all EARs!

    Happy planning,
    Kristin
