Can I make a park reservation for August? We were there when the parked closed last year and were given tickets to come back they are good for 2 years but we are already down 1 year.

    Hi Rachel,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for taking the time to send us your great question.  I am sorry that your visit to Disneyland Resort was affected by the closure, but good news!  Disneyland Resort is officially reopening on April 30, 2021 and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will begin welcoming guests on April 29, 2021.

Since the reopening was just announced last week we are still anxiously awaiting further details including booking windows and ticket sales, but I suggest checking the Disney Parks Blog and the official Disneyland Resort Website for the most up to date information regarding the reopening plan.  Currently, the reopening is for California Residents as per official guidelines, but fingers crossed that out of state and international reservations will open soon.

With that being said, Disney has extended the expiry date for most Theme Park Tickets to December 16, 2021.  If by chance you are unable to visit prior to that date, you will be able to apply the value of your wholly unused Theme Park Ticket to a new admission for a later date.  If you are unsure if your Theme Park Tickets qualify for the extension, I would suggest calling (714) 781-4636 to speak with a Cast Member who will be more than happy to assist with your question.

I am positive more details will be released soon, Rachel.  Please feel free to send us some more questions as you continue to plan your visit to Disneyland Resort.
