Hi there, Gene! Thanks for your question and welcome to planDisney. Woohoo! More friends to enjoy the Disneyland Resort with!
The more the merrier, I say! The family who just purchased tickets can make new theme park reservations for the same dates that you plan to visit (subject to availability). Theme park reservations can be made 120 days in advance. It looks like we're just shy of your
arrival dates opening up, however, have them return to the site in a few days when availability opens up to
make their reservations as soon as they can.
Gene, it sounds like you might have a vacation package booked with tickets included. If this is the case, you will still need to make theme park reservations to visit the parks. Make sure to
link your vacation package to your Disney account so you can make theme park reservations for your tickets as soon as your dates are available. Helpful hint: make sure you all select the same starting park for your reservations so you can spend the entire day together.
Since you will all be enjoying the parks together, I would also recommend
linking your tickets. This can be done by visiting the Disneyland site or through the
Disneyland app. In the app, you will tap the three horizontal bars in the lower right corner and then tap the tile for "Tickets and Passes," then tap the "+" in the top right corner. You will then tap "Link Tickets & Passes" to link everyone's tickets. This is especially helpful if you're planning on using
Disney Genie+ Service. Anyone in the linked ticket party can make
Lightning Lane selections for anyone/everyone in the group.
This year is an especially magical time to visit the Happiest Place on Earth. The
Disney100 Celebration just kicked off and the new attraction,
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway is now also open. I also recommend checking out the new nighttime spectaculars -
Wondrous Journeys and
World of Color - ONE. Both are filled with so many details you will want to watch them more than once!
I hope this was helpful, Gene. Please come back to visit with any other questions you may have as you continue to plan your visit. We love to help!
Happy planning!
Michelle
