Hello all. With the park reopening on the 30th April to CA residents only, will you be allowing military families stationed in CA to attend? My husband and I do not have CA state ID’s but we live in SoCal on orders, and have done since 2018. Kelly

    Hi ya, Kelly!

It’s so nice to see a fellow military family visiting us at planDisney today, welcome. Let me first begin by sending a huge thank you from my military family to yours, “Thank You!”.

How lucky are you to be stationed so close to “The Happiest Place on Earth”? I’m sure with the magic of Disneyland Resort being so close, you are so ready for a visit. Disneyland Resort has not yet shared what they will be requiring California residents to use as proof of residency. In the past, Guests visiting the parks, using the California resident ticket, were required to show a government-issued picture ID like a drivers license. Before the temporary closure, my fellow Panelist, Kristen, was also able to share information on visiting the parks as a military family while residing in California. Again, I’m not sure if this process will remain the same or change.

I do, however, recommend keeping your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information. This is where we will hEAR more information about what exactly will be needed to visit the parks as a California resident. As we wait for an announcement, please let us know if there’s anything else we can help with as you prepare to Return to a Land of Magic.

    Thanks again for stopping by!

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
