Contemporary Resort Pool; mother, father, boy, girl

    Where do you park your rental when staying in the contemporary hotel at disney. We are visiting the park in April 2026. Also is there building work on going in the contemporary hotel ?

    It looks like your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth is just a couple of months away! That’s very exciting. Staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a great choice. The proximity to Magic Kingdom Park is second to none!

    I’m happy to answer your questions, Mark.

    There is complimentary self-parking at the resort for overnight Guests. Valet parking is also available. As of this writing, valet parking is $42 per night plus tax, and as always, prices are subject to change.
      
    You are correct, Disney’s Contemporary Resort is also undergoing some refurbishment. This started in phases in September of 2024 and will continue through late 2027. Guests may see and hear construction during their stay throughout this time frame.
     
    I should also mention that starting January 26, 2026, through early May 2026, the Bay Cove Pool, the Cove Bar, the water play area, and the whirlpool spa at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will temporarily close for maintenance.
     
    I am happy to report, however, that the Bay Lake Pool, the water play area, and the whirlpool spa at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will remain open for Guests to enjoy during this time.
     
    You really can’t beat the location of the Contemporary, Mark. You’re within walking distance to Magic Kingdom, you have the Monorail running right through the resort, and you’re also very close to the Transportation and Ticket Center. This gives you so much flexibility in your transportation options at Walt Disney World Resort!
