Hi Brittany! Thanksgiving is a wonderful time of the year to visit Walt Disney World. My own family just enjoyed this week and loved seeing Christmas begin as well as Thanksgiving.
Visiting any of the parks on Thanksgiving is the same as other days. They do not have special activities or parades just for this day so it won't matter as far as that is concerned. The Magic Kingdom will always tend to be the most crowded park on holidays as the local guests will come to enjoy their day off with their families.
My family chose to take this day and spend it doing different things away from the parks. We booked a
Guided Fishing Excursion for the morning and followed that with
Disney golf for the older kids. The ladies also enjoyed some time at the
Spa. Of course we finished the day with a lovely Thanksgiving buffet at the Captains Grill in the Yacht Club Resort. It was a perfect time to take some hours away from the busy crowds in the parks.
Make sure you keep aware of your 180 day dining reservation date as this is a busy time and popular restaurants will book up quickly. Wherever your plans take you I am sure you will have a magical Disney Thanksgiving!
