Can I park at Polynesian to eat at Captain Cook’s? How about at French Quarter to eat at Sassagoula Float Works? Disney World website says parking is complimentary for day guests at the resort for dining and shopping.

    Hiya Charles,

Welcome to planDisney! What a great question! Dining at Walt Disney World Resort is one of my favorite things, and some of the best dining is at the Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotels. The jambalaya at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory is one of my favorite dishes on property! We always stop there when we are staying at Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter.

Due to current policy, parking at Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotels is limited to Guests of that resort and Guests with confirmed dining reservations. In my experience, this does not extend to Guests wanting to dine at one of the quick service locations at the resort hotels. Cast Members will need to see confirmation of either a resort hotel stay or dining reservation before you will be able to enter the parking lot. If you really want to dine at Captain Cooks or Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory, your best solution is to take the complimentary transportation from one of the Theme Parks to the resorts (or the Disney Minnie Van Service). This ensures you can dine at any quick service location without worrying about being turned away at the gate for parking.

I’m sorry this wasn’t the answer you were hoping for, Charles. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.

    Happy Planning,
