Does the park still pick one lucky girl to be a special guest in the parade? If so, is there a way for me to get my child to be in the parade? How would I do that?

    Hello Vanessa,

I don't know of a parade at Disney where a Guest is chosen to take part. But each day a special family is chosen to open the Magic Kingdom. They get to ride the train with the beloved characters like Mickey and Minnie. And then they get to help Mayor Weaver "open" the gates.

Now, how do you get selected? That's the million dollar question! Disney chooses a lucky family randomly virtually every day. There's no secret formula or a special spot to stand. You just have to hope you get sprinkled with a little Pixie Dust that morning!

I know it would be magical if you and your daughter were selected to help open the Park. But remember, no matter what, your trip will be spectacular because you are all together! Good luck!
