Hi Danielle! A warm welcome to planDisney.
Thank you for sending us your wonderful question about the
phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort.
On February 11, 2021, during the quarterly Disney Shareholder Services call, Christine McCarthy (Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Walt Disney Company), confirmed that the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks are currently operating at 35% capacity.
Park capacity has been reduced to
promote physical distancing and park reduction guidelines are based on guidance from health authorities, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Danielle, it is up to all of us to help keep our Guests and Cast Members healthy and safe. In addition to reduced park capacity, physical distancing is being promoted via the
Disney Park Pass system, social distancing markers throughout the parks, and physical barriers. Together, we can keep creating unforgettable memories at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Please keep in mind that park capacity may be further reduced or enhanced at any time, without prior notification. I encourage you to keep your eyes and EARS peeled on the
Disney Parks Blog and the
official Walt Disney World Resort website for updates.
If you have any additional questions about the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort, or any questions about planning your next Disney vacation, please visit planDisney again. We are always hEAR to help you!
