Hey there, hi there, Heidi! We are so glad to have you stop by planDisney with your planning question for us.
The most important step to a Disneyland Resort visit is getting your tickets! From there, the planning fun can commence! I'm happy to share that you can purchase Disneyland tickets to both parks right on the
Disneyland website or through the
Disneyland app. It sounds like you are planning a visit with everyone going to Disneyland Park for the day, and then most of your party is also going to California Adventure for one day. As you play around with ticket types, you will find pricing and see what option is best for you all. In your case, I would usually say those visiting both days should grab a 2-day ticket, which would give you one day at each park. Single-day tickets would work for those just wanting to go to Disneyland Park. Single-day tickets are tiered, so prices vary. Sometimes, if you are visiting on a lower-tiered day, it may actually be cheaper to grab two 1-day tickets. However, I see that you want to visit on Christmas Day, which means a 2-day ticket would be your best bet since the holiday week is Tier 6.
Be sure to check out all the fun and excitement that will be happening during the
Holidays at Disneyland Resort. It really is one of the most magical times for a visit. I will forever cherish each time I get to be on Main Street with my family, watching the "snow" fall. I hope my kids never get too old to enjoy that!
Heidi, thanks so much for dropping by! We are always here for every planning question, big or small!
