Hiya Tammy!
Welcome back again to planDisney! I love how you think Tammy! Snacking throughout Walt Disney World Resort sounds fabulous and you have a great plan in place but let us discuss the details.
Parking at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel- especially those on the monorail transportation line- can be a bit tricky. Security may require a dining reservation or some confirmed booking for something occurring at that Resort to allow Guests to park at these Resorts. Since you have a dining reservation at Kona Cafe, I suggest starting at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and then taking the monorail to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and then Disney's Contemporary Resort. However, your parking may have a time limit, so returning to Disney's Polynesian Resort is very important. You have several hours till fireworks so I suggest either having a dinner planned at Disney's Polynesian Resort or doing the monorail dessert crawl on your Whispering Canyon Cafe day.
Here are some suggestions for your dessert crawl:
Disney's Contemporary Resort has one of the best chocolate cakes on the property with the Steakhouse 71 Signature Chocolate Cake at
Steakhouse 71. You will need an advanced dining reservation.
You already made the smart choice for Disney's Polynesian Village Resort!
Kona Cafe is delicious and the Pineapple-Coconut Bread Pudding is perfection.
When visiting, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, I highly recommend
Narcoossee's Almond-crusted Cheesecake. Reservations are also needed!
On your
Whispering Canyon Cafe lunch day, you can park at Disney's Wilderness Lodge as you will have a reservation to show security when you enter to park. I then suggest after enjoying your meal take a Friendship boat to one of the Resorts on the monorail line and conduct your dessert tour. Of course, end your evening at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for fireworks viewing, and then head back to your car at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. This should work out better since the time is shorter than if you started at breakfast time.
As for Mickey Beignets, they are only found at Disney's Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter in the Scat Cat's Club-Cafe. They are Mickey-shaped and delicious. They are made to order hot and perfect for dipping in their chocolate sauce. My best solution for visiting this Resort is to park at Disney Springs and take water transportation up the Sassagoula River. This is not a Resort that connects to the
Disney Skyliner. If you want to ride the Disney Skyliner know that it has stations at the following Resorts: Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort, and Disney's Riviera Resort. The Disney Skyliner also connects to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Visit any of the Resorts or Parks I just mentioned for a chance to glide through the air with your favorite characters.
I hope this helps and you have a delicious time!
Happy Planning!
