Is the park less crowded in late June or early August?

    Hi, LeeAnne!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are excited to begin planning your magical vacation to Walt Disney World® Resort - the planning is part of the fun.

When trying to choose between late June or early August, the crowd levels are estimated to be slightly less for the late June dates. I'm traveling to the most magical place on earth at that time myself. Late June is estimated to have crowd levels between 5-7 out of 10 (10 being the most crowded) and early August crowds are estimated to be between 6-8 out of 10.

However, because they really are so close in terms of crowds levels, it's really a matter of choosing a date right for your family and then having a great plan in place. Both of these dates are already within the 180 day booking window for dining reservations. I would play around with the online dining reservation availability and see which one offers more of your favorite options. That may help you decide. There are also Special Offers in place that include both dates, but one may have better availability. Play around with your dates on the website and see which works best for your budget. After taking a peek for you, early August seemed slightly less expensive, but only by a few dollars depending on where you want to stay.

Give these suggestions a try to help in your decision. And as always, please do not hesitate to send us any additional questions you may have as you plan and prepare. We are here to help!
