Hello Mary,
Your great, big, beautiful tomorrow and its Walt Disney World Resort vacation stay will be here before you know it. I can imagine you're excited for all the magic that awaits you.
As you look to plan your theme park days during your stay, my suggestion is to check out the Park Hours Calendar for daily operating hours and scheduled events. You'll want to
check back for Thanksgiving week hours. At the time of your question, the interactive Park Hours Calendar
shows scheduled hours for about 11 weeks out. I suggest checking the calendar frequently, as operating hours are subject to change and can get updated.
You might also want to keep track of when tickets go on sale for
Disney Very Merriest After Hours, the special ticketed event at Magic Kingdom Park.
I also suggest using the
My Disney Experience mobile app to stay up to date on schedules and events. The mobile app offers a great feature for showing all the entertainment in all the theme parks. You can easily view what's happening both as an at-a-glance list and as a map.
Here's how to quickly see the list. Go to the mobile app and tap the map pin icon in the app menu on the bottom of the screen. Use the filter to select one or more theme parks. Tap the "Select Category" at the top of the screen and select "Entertainment." Tap "Show List" in the upper right corner. You'll get to see a schedule for shows, cavalcades, nighttime spectaculars, and more.
If you'll be staying as a Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guest, you'll want to plan for the
Early Theme Park Entry perk that offers 30-minute early entry on every day of the week for any of the theme parks.
Mary, it sounds like you'll be visiting during
"The World’s Most Magical Celebration" to mark the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort. There'll be lots of exciting celebration moments to enjoy, including the
Disney Enchantment nighttime fireworks and show.
You'll also want to
follow the Disney Parks blog to stay in the know about what's new and planned for the Walt Disney World Resort, including any special events and offerings that will help you celebrate the holidays in a most magical way.
Here's wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving at the Walt Disney World Resort!
Jerry
