Hi Karen,
I'm not sure what's tougher: waiting for your Walt Disney World vacation to begin or waiting to start planning that vacation by making advanced dining reservations and other itinerary choices. I'm guessing you are eager to get the party planning started, even if it will be several more months before you arrive at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
You won't be on stand-by much longer. Park hours and schedules usually are released a little more than six months in advance. That offers a little cushion to make decisions about dining and other plans before the 180-day mark, when you can start booking those key restaurants and character meals.
As I write this on March 1, 2020, park hours -- including
Extra Magic Hours and
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party times -- are available through September 7, 2020. Dining reservations can be made through August 28, 180 days from this moment.
So I would anticipate that the calendar for your vacation dates will be available in about a week.
One thing I'm still watching for is the schedule of the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, which I anticipate will kick off again this year in late August. I'm keeping my eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for news about festival events that may affect our September vacation plans and maybe yours as well.
Thanks for your question, Karen. I hope this helps you schedule your planning. Please check back with us if we can offer our recommendations on dining, FastPass+, special events or other activities for your family's Walt Disney World vacation. Enjoy!
Wilma
