Hi Ashley,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for asking us a great question!
We often rent a car and drive ourselves around when we visit Walt Disney World Resort. While having a personal vehicle has its advantages, one of the big disadvantages is the fact that we don’t always get to use some of Disney’s cool transportation options, including my family’s favourite:
Disney Skyliner!
Your idea to park at
EPCOT if you plan to end the night in that Theme Park is a good one, in theory, but I’m sorry to say that it might not work perfectly the morning of your visit. You see, EPCOT’s Disney Skyliner station is located at the International Gateway. There’s unfortunately no way to get there from EPCOT’s parking lot without actually going into the park. That doesn’t mean you’re out of options! You can still park at EPCOT and then take
Disney Bus Transportation to
Disney’s Hollywood Studios or, if the buses aren’t running directly to Disney’s Hollywood Studios that day from EPCOT’s main entrance, you can always go to another Disney Resorts Collection hotel and then transfer buses there.
While I think it would be convenient to have your car parked at EPCOT at the end of the night, if you want to ride the Disney Skyliner between the parks, I’d recommend starting your day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, parking there, and then taking the Disney Skyliner to EPCOT and then back at the end of your Disney Day. Or, you could just do a round trip ride on the Skyliner when you’re ready to leave Disney’s Hollywood Studios and then drive to EPCOT to continue your day. Don’t forget that if you’ve paid for
parking at one Theme Park, you won’t need to pay for it a second time if you “hop” to another park!
I hope my answer helps you plan the perfect Disney Day, transportation or otherwise! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
