If I am park hopping, am I able to do three rides at one park and then another 3 rides at the next park?

    Welcome to planDisney, Matthew!

Thanks for stopping by with a question about your upcoming Walt Disney World visit. I’m so happy that I get to help you plan your park hopping adventure. As long as you’ve purchased theme park tickets with the Park Hopper option or are using an Annual Pass, you can follow your plan to experience six attractions in two different parks in one day. If you’re utilizing non-date-based tickets (like an Annual Pass, for example), you will need to make a Theme Park Reservation. Date-based tickets do not require reservations. Reservations will only need to be made for the first park you plan to visit if you need to book them.

Once you’ve purchased your tickets and/or booked your reservations, you’re free to visit your first park on the day of your visit and experience your first set of attractions. You can experience as many as you like! After you’ve entered your first park of the day, you’ll be eligible to hop to your next park, so once you are done in park #1, use the Disney Transportation System or your personal vehicle to hop to park #2. If you're not planning to stay at a Disney Resort Hotel, keep your parking receipt from the first park. It will allow you to skip payment at your second park.

If I were to do this, I think I would start at Disney's Hollywood Studios as soon as they open for Early Theme Park Entry. This is a perk for Disney Resort Hotel guests allowing them to enter the theme parks 30 minutes prior to park opening. I’d visit Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge and experience Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. While it’s still early, I’d head over to Toy Story Land and ride Slinky Dog Dash. Now, Matthew I’m going to be honest… I would have a really hard time leaving after just three attractions. There are so many favorites at Hollywood Studios for me that this would be almost criminal, but I’m going to accept your challenge and try.

After Hollywood Studios, I’d hop over to Magic Kingdom. My three attractions there on this particular day would be Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion. If you’re interested in filling in some time between attractions, there are so many entertainment options across all of the theme parks, like Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage at Hollywood Studios and the Disney Festival of Fantasy parade at Magic Kingdom. Don’t forget about these stellar experiences, too.

I hope I’ve provided you with all the information you need to complete your park hopping strategy, Matthew. Should you need additional help, know that my pals and I here at planDisney are here to help. Until then, TTFN… ta-ta for now!
