Welcome to planDisney, Christine! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. Can you believe your trip to Walt Disney World is this month? I love that you're already planning out the details of your park hopping day. Starting with
Animal Kingdom in the morning and heading to
Hollywood Studios in the evening sounds like an awesome combo!
When it comes to
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can only purchase one per day, per ticket, and it gives you up to three advance selections to start with. But you already know the great news: your selections can absolutely be spread across multiple parks! I recommend booking your first three to start with at Animal Kingdom, and then as soon as you've used that first one, start booking return times at Hollywood Studios.
The key to maximizing Lightning Lane selections is to start early and keep booking as soon as you can! Once you redeem your first Lightning Lane selection, you'll be able to make additional selections one at a time. Even though you can't purchase two separate Lightning Lane Multi Passes for the same day, you can continuously stack more Lightning Lane experiences as the day goes on. This is especially helpful if you're hopping over to a second park like Hollywood Studios in the afternoon or evening.
My advice? Prioritize the attractions with the earliest return times at Animal Kingdom, even if it's not exactly the order you want to experience those rides in. If getting the most out of your Lightning Lane Multi Pass across two parks is your goal, the earlier your first Lightning Lane begins, the better. I see that your daughter really wants to ride
Slinky Dog Dash, so the sooner you're able to use that first Lightning Lane at Animal Kingdom and unlock park hopping, the better chance you have at grabbing one of the headliner attractions at Hollywood Studios.
I hope this answers your question, Christine, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
