Hi Karla. Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel again! Great to see you!
I am a huge fan of the
park hopper option, especially for those traveling with little ones. When my kiddos were younger, I booked our vacation based on where I thought they would want to spend the most time. Fortunately, I also factored in some down time so they could rest (well - so mom and dad could rest).
I knew they would love the attractions at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. What I didn't think about was how enamored they would be with the animals. We spent hours looking at, learning about and enjoying the animals in areas such as Affection Section and the trails throughout the theme park. The park hopper option gave us the ability to go back and visit the animals again and again.
On other days, we would begin the day at one theme park, then rest and enjoy some pool time at our Resort hotel and then visit another theme park in the evening. Initially, I had every moment planned and had the theme parks pre-selected. By the end of our vacation, I let Disney magic take over and our kiddos were running the show. Not to overwhelm them, we would give them a couple of options, they would choose and then off we would go to make more memories.
As a mom, I so wanted to create the most magical pixie dusted vacation with every moment filled with adventure and fun. Midway through our vacation, I realized that while planning is important (very important), it's sometimes the spontaneous moments that take your breath away. The park hopper option allowed for those moments.
Have a great time at the Walt Disney World Resort and enjoy every moment of seeing the Resort through the eyes of your preschoolers. You will be in awe at the wonder that surrounds you!
