Hi. We have park hopper tix. If we spend the day at AK and then have ADR at Epcot for dinner, what happens if EP is at capacity for our "hop." Will we incur a fee? Is this a likely scenario?

Hey there, Lydia. Your Walt Disney World trip isn’t far off. Time to get your happy dance moves perfected!

Currently, the Park Hopper Option has a few requirements that change the way Guests use this entitlement. The first thing to note is that park hopping isn’t permitted until 2 P.M. The second thing to note is that (and it sounds like you’re already familiar with this part) the second or subsequent park a Guest visits must have capacity available for park hopping Guests. You can always check on that availability via the My Disney Experience app or by visiting Guest Relations inside the theme parks.

Because park hopping isn’t guaranteed, Disney recommends making your dining reservations in the theme park where you hold a reservation. Any applicable penalty fees will continue to apply if Guests do not show up for a dining reservation, even if the reason for that no show is that park entry was denied due to capacity.

The good news is that Guests have been successfully enjoying the Park Hopper Option since it was reinstated. While being turned away due to capacity is a possibility, that has not been a widespread issue.

I hope that helps, Lydia. And I hope you have a wild time!
