Hi there, Donna! Thanks for stopping by
planDisney with your question. Park hopping is my favorite way to spend a Disney day and I think you are going to love it too!
Park hopping does look a little bit different these days with the new
park pass reservation system. To park hop now, you'll need valid theme park admission with the park hopper option. After your tickets are linked to your
MyDisneyExperience account you can then go ahead and start making your park pass reservation selections. You'll want to make those for the first theme park you'd like to visit each day. Then, on the day of, you'll need to scan into the park with the park pass reservation first before continuing on to other theme parks later in the day. Right now, park-hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evenings. It is not necessary, or even possible, to continue making park pass reservations throughout the day. You'll only need your initial reservation to park hop. To make things a little bit more convenient with all of the new restrictions, complimentary park-to-park bus transportation is currently being provided.
It just takes a little bit more preplanning to park hop these days but I promise it is just as magical as ever. I oftentimes like to start the day at either Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park or Disney's Hollywood Studios. I like to arrive before the park technically opens to maximize my time there. Then, around lunchtime when I feel like the park is at its busiest, I'll head back to the
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel that I happen to be staying at for some fun in the Florida sun at the pool. It's a nice way to relax after such an early morning. After some downtime, I like to clean up and head over to EPCOT to finish out the day. I love enjoying snacks and drinks around The World Showcase for dinner.
I hope this helps explain park hopping a little bit more for you, Donna. If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Happy hopping!
Jackie H.
