With the Park Hopper tickets ,it states that after 2 pm you can go to another park.If we decided later that we wanted to go to another park is that allowed? Or are you stuck at that park for the rest of the day?

Hello there, Zac. I'm glad you've stopped by planDisney to chit-chat about my favorite way to spend a Disney day - park hopping!

Park hopping does look a little bit different these days with the addition of park pass reservations Zac but it is just as fun as ever. Here's how it is currently working:

    • Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
    • Guests wishing to park hop must have park pass reservations for the initial theme park they plan on visiting each day
    • On the day of, Guests wishing to park hop must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation first before continuing on to other theme parks later in the day
    • Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evening
    • After 2:00 p.m. you are able to visit any or all of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks
    • It is not necessary or even possible to make multiple park pass reservations for one day. After 2:00 p.m. you are free to hop around as you'd like
    • To make park hopping a little bit easier, complimentary park-to-park bus transportation is currently being provided.
So as you can see, Zac, after 2:00 p.m. and after you've visited the Walt Disney World Theme Park that your park pass reservation is set for you can visit any or all of the other parks that you'd like. Sometimes I've done one other park and sometimes I've fit all four into my itinerary. However you plan your day, you are bound to have a lot of fun!

Zac, one suggestion, if you are planning to do all four of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day here's how I would do it. I'd start out at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. It typically opens pretty early and you can get a lot done before 2:00 p.m. when hopping hours start. Next, I'd go over to Magic Kingdom Park. I find the wait times to be pretty consistent through the day so getting there in the late afternoon won't slow you down too much. After a few hours enjoying all that park has to offer, I'd head over to Disney's Hollywood Studios next. You could hit up a few attractions there that offer the Single rider entrance and enjoy a fun snack. For the nighttime, I always go for EPCOT. It's really nice to end the day snacking and drinking around The World Showcase. I've done this itinerary quite a bit and have always had a really fun day.

I hope this helps break down park hopping a little bit better for you. If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm here to help!

    Have fun and happy hopping!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
