Hi there, Richie!
You are correct, the
theme park reservations you make are only for the starting park for your visit to the Disneyland Resort. Since you have
Park Hopper tickets, you’ll be able to visit the other theme park after park hopping hours begin. Currently,
park hopping begins after 1:00 PM. While hopping between parks is still subject to park capacity limits, those limits are quite rarely reached. Note that even if you arrive after 1:00 PM, you will still need to scan into the park selected for your theme park reservation before your ticket will be valid to hop to the other park. It’s a good thing
the two parks are so close to each other!
Tony’s Tip: If you have already purchased
Disney Genie+ service with your theme park tickets, or if you plan to purchase it after you scan into your first park for the day, you can use it to make
Lightning Lane reservations for either park, even before park-hopping hours begin. Note that if you book a Lightning Lane for the park you are not currently visiting and it is still before park-hopping hours have begun, Genie+ will automatically select the first available time after the 1:00 PM hour. The same is true for
individual Lightning Lane attractions too!
I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Richie. If you are planning on visiting the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, I hope you’ll enjoy a
SNICKERS Caramel-Peanut Milk Chocolate Mickey Macaron for me!
