I have park hopper tickets can i go from Hollywood studios to magic kingdom and then back to Hollywood studios for dinner?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Shalixa. Thanks for stopping by with your question. I see that you have a trip planned to the Most Magical Place on Earth here in a few weeks. I bet you are getting so exciting!

Shalixa, park hopping is my favorite way to spend a Disney day. I love visiting the theme parks for the early morning hours and crossing off some of my must-do attractions from the list before the park tends to get busy for the day. Then, around lunchtime, when I feel like the parks are their busiest, I like to head back to the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel that I am staying at for an afternoon swim. When I've had my fill of fun in the Florida sun, I typically clean up and head over to Epcot for the rest of the evening. I enjoy snacking and sipping on beverages for dinner around the World Showcase. It's a great plan for the day.

I think you'll be happy to know that with your park hopper ticket, you can start your day off at Disney's Hollywood Studios, hop over to Magic Kingdom Park for a bit and then head back over to Disney's Hollywood Studios for dinner. The exception here is that park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. You'll have to wait until that time to enter Magic Kingdom Park. To make parking hopping a little bit easier for Guests, complimentary park-to-park bus transportation is currently being provided. Right around 2:00 p.m. you can head over to Magic Kingdom Park to enjoy the afternoon if you'd like.

As a reminder, with the new park hopping rules, you'll want to make your park pass reservation for the first Walt Disney World Theme Park you'd like to visit each day. Then, on the day of, you'll actually need to scan in and enter that theme park (even if it's after 2:00 p.m.) before continuing on to other parks later in the day. This sort of "activates" your park hopper feature each day.

I hope this helps break down park hopping a little bit better for you, Shalixa. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help.

    Have fun and happy hopping!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
