If I have park hopper tickets for 5 days and reserve Magic Kingdom as day #1, am I limited to which other park I visit after 2pm (can it be any park? And on days #2 thru #5, do I start back at Magic Kingdom each day, and hop again after 2pm?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Crystal!

I can't think of a better way to kick off a new year than a trip to Walt Disney World. You are going to have so much fun, Crystal!

Park hopping is my favorite way to spend a Disney day, but it does look a little bit different than it did before. The first thing I want to mention is that you need a park pass reservation for each day that you plan on spending in a Walt Disney World Theme Park. Each day, you are able to choose a different theme park to start at if you'd like. So let's say you chose Magic Kingdom Park as day 1, you could choose Epcot for day 2, Disney's Hollywood Studios for day 3 and so on. Or, if you want to start every day out at Magic Kingdom Park you are able to do that as well by choosing that park as your park pass reservation each day.  Basically, the park pass reservation that you select for each day of your Walt Disney World vacation will be your starting point. As you mentioned, Crystal, park hopping now starts at 2:00 p.m. and lasts until each park closes in the evenings. After you've scanned in the theme park with your park pass reservation each day you are able to visit any or all of the other Walt Disney World Theme Parks that you would like. You are not limited to only one park that day. It can be any of the other Walt Disney World Theme Parks.

For me, I love starting the day out at either Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios or Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Then, in the afternoon when the parks tend to fill up for the day, I typically take a midday break. I like to cool off with a swim or even lay down for a little nap. Then, in the evening, I like to hop over to EPCOT for snacks and sips around The World Showcase for dinner. It's a perfect way to spend the day.

So just to clarify, you'll need a park pass reservation for each day you have theme park tickets. You can pick any theme park you'd like for this. Then, after 2:00 p.m. you can visit any or all of the other Walt Disney World Theme Parks. You can even reenter the theme park you started at for the day if you'd like. I hope this helps clear up any confusion. If you have any other questions about this, or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help.

    Happy hopping!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
