If you have park hopper tickets, can you advance purchase LL Multi-Pass and Single Pass on the same day? Meaning, when I go to purchase ahead of my visit, on my first day, could I book Hollywood Studio Multi-pass and Guardians as my Single Pass?

    Welcome to planDisney, Sandy!

Oh, boy! Your vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth will be here before you know it. The new Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass system via the My Disney Experience App will definitely be a game changer for your adventure. Let’s get into how you can get the best of both passes this fall.

First of all, I absolutely love this plan to combine both passes. The great news is that this is something that you can do! When you have a valid theme park admission and your booking window opens (up to 7 days before arrival at your eligible on-property hotel and up to 3 days when staying elsewhere), you can purchase a Lightning Lane Multi Pass and an available Lightning Lane Single Pass at the same time.

If you have a theme park ticket with a Park Hopper Option (or a Walt Disney World annual pass), you will see the option to check off a theme park’s Multi Pass and any available Single Passes from any theme park. Yes, you can even have up to two Single Passes per day. Sounds like a party to me! For example, you can book a Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Disney’s Hollywood Studios and select Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind as a Lightning Lane Single Pass even though it’s in EPCOT.

AN EXTRA GEM: If you want multiple rides on rides like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and TRON Lightcycle / Run, not only can you purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass that will get you through the faster Lightning Lane, but you can also try for a complimentary Virtual Queue boarding group. Although a boarding group spot means that you’ll wait in a standby queue, you are free to explore the theme park while you wait for your group to be called. Try for a spot in the My Disney Experience App at 7 a.m. EST from anywhere or at 1 p.m. EST from inside of the specific theme park. There’s sometimes an extra chance at 6 p.m. EST from anywhere if you’re a Disney Resorts Collection Deluxe or Deluxe Villa hotel Guest on an Extended Evening Theme Park Hours night.

Sandy, if you have any additional Disney vacation planning questions, give us a holler here at planDisney. Any of the panelists will be more than happy to lend a Mickey hand.

    Magic always,
