Hey there, Tamara. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I can see that your Walt Disney World vacation is only a few short months away. I bet you are getting so excited!
I'm so glad that at the start of this year,
park hopping has officially returned to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. My perfect Disney day starts in the early morning at Magic Kingdom Park. Then around lunchtime, I love to head back to the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel that I am staying at and spend some time soaking in that Florida sunshine by the pool. Then, after I've had some fun splish-splashing around, I like to clean up and head to Epcot for dinner and drinks around The World Showcase. I am so happy to be back to that! Even though park hopping has returned, it does look a little bit different at the moment. Here is how it's currently working:
- Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
- Guests wishing to park hop must have a park pass reservation for the first park they wish to visit each day
- Guests wishing to park hop must scan in and enter the park with the park pass reservation first
- Park hopping hours begin at 2:00 p.m. each day and last until each park closes in the evening
- Park hopping is currently subject to park capacity limitations at this time
I've been park hopping for the past few months and even with these new restrictions, I think it's wonderful to be able to visit multiple theme parks in one day. You absolutely are not limited with the number of parks you can visit in a day. As long as it's after 2:00 p.m. and there is capacity availability you can visit any and all of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day if you choose. You can also return to the park you have a park pass reservation at any time during the day. Even if you left for a bit in the morning, you could re-enter the park with your park pass reservation before 2:00 p.m. To make park hopping a little bit easier for Guests, Disney is offering complimentary bus park-to-park transportation at this time. When you are exiting one of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, head to the bus stop marked for the next bus you'd like to visit. There will be a Cast Member working the bus stop and he or she will want to verify that you do, indeed, have the park hopper option added to your ticket by a quick scan of your ticket or MagicBand. After confirming, you'll be able to board the bus and be whisked off to your next destination. If the theme park you are wanting to visit is full due to capacity limitation that same Cast Member will be able to let you know there and you can plan the rest of your day accordingly. I've park hopped quite a bit since the start and haven't run into that issue yet but I thought I should mention it just in case.
I hope this helps you plan your day a little bit better, Tamara. If you have any other questions before your trip, I'd love it if you'd come back and
ask me.
Have fun!
