If I have a park hopper ticket and am staying at a deluxe resort, can I enter the park with extended evening hours during those few hours? Do I have to be already inside that specific park before extended hours start, or can I enter during?

    Hey there, hi there Cheryl!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Soon, you'll be joining The World's Most Magical Celebration, and it looks like you are ready to create some memorable moments!

Adding the Park Hopper Option to your tickets is going to give you so much flexibility when it comes to making your dining reservations and enjoying Extended Evening Hours as a guest staying at a Walt Disney World Deluxe Resort Hotel. As long as you've entered the park where you made your daily theme park reservation, after 2:00 PM (or whenever park hopping starts) you can head to any other park, no reservations required. That includes Magic Kingdom and EPCOT on the nights they have Extended Evening Hours.

You won't need to be there right when they start either, so if you were at Disney's Hollywood Studios for the day and wanted to stay there right until the park closed then walk over to EPCOT afterwards, you could certainly do that. Keep in mind, however, that generally right after the nighttime shows, the parks do get congested as people are leaving for the evening, especially on Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom. If you really want to enjoy extra time in that park, I recommend arriving well before the Disney Enchantment starts so that you aren't trying to compete with the crowds looking for a spot to watch the fireworks, and you're not trying to swim against the masses as they are exiting the park.

Having said all of that, if you have dinner scheduled at California Grill on the same night as Extended Hours for Magic Kingdom, take your time and enjoy the stunning view of Disney Enchantment and the Electrical Water Pageant from the restaurant's observation deck. Then stroll on over to Magic Kingdom and finish the evening experiencing a couple of your favorite classic attractions with little or no wait time.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
