I have a Park Hopper Ticket that requires a reservation to start my day. I would like to start at Animal Kingdom for a quick ride on Everest, then hop to Magic Kingdom. Can I buy and pre-book my Lightning Lane Multipasses for Magic Kingdom?

    Howdy Jessica!

Welcome back to planDisney. There is nothing like planning another vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth. The Lightning Lane Multi Pass is a must for our family as it allows us to maximize our time in the parks and plan our day more efficiently. Let’s see how we can help you make the most of your day with a little planning.

Yes, just like my pal Judy, you can hop on Expedition Everest and then head over to the Magic Kingdom for all your Lightning Lane Multi Pass experiences. So if you are staying at a Disney Resort Collection Hotel or other Select Hotel, you may begin booking your Lightning Lanes at 7 AM EST 7 days prior to your arrival for up to 10 days of your visit. If you are not staying at one of these resorts, then your booking window opens up 3 days prior to the first day of your visit. What you will want to do is open your My Disney Experience app and tap the Purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass button. From here, you will want to choose the date that you will be visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. Choose the Magic Kingdom and which 3 experiences you would like to start with. The next step is important: by default, it will give you the earliest available times. You will want to plan your first experience for when you can get to the Magic Kingdom. The bus service between parks begins at 10 AM and, in my experience, can sometimes take at least 30 minutes. Please note that you can only book additional Lightning Lane experiences after you have scanned in to your first one for the day.

Ok, so if you have time, I highly recommend hopping to EPCOT for the International Flower & Garden Festival.  This festival is really special because all of Epcot is decorated with the most amazing gardens and character topiaries.  Our family loves to stroll through the park and take pictures with all of the characters.  There are also lots of festival-exclusive dining options at the kiosks that I know you will love. You can also do a fun scavenger hunt, following Spike the Bee on his pollination trail. Spikes Pollen-Nation Exploration will be sure to keep the whole family busy as a bee.

Jessica, I hope this helps and that you have a magical day at Animal and Magic Kingdoms. If you have any further questions, please stop back by, and one of my fellow panelists or I will be happy to assist.

    See ya real soon,
    Robert
