I have a Park Hopper ticket and plan on going to Animal Kingdom in the morning and Hollywood Studios afterwards. I purchased a multi pass for Hollywood Studios and booked rides for later in the day. Will I be able to enter Animal Kingdom first?

    Hey there, Tricia!

Welcome to planDisney. I’m excited to hear about your upcoming visit and happy to help ensure a magical day of park hopping around Walt Disney World Resort.

As an Annual Passholder, I love hopping from one park to another on a single day. In fact, my family tackled another 4-park challenge earlier this month, checking off at least one attraction, photo, and food or beverage item in each park. It was a fun-filled day, and though we were pretty tired by the time we finished all our favorite experiences, I’d do it again in a heartbeat!

Your strategy to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass for your afternoon at Disney's Hollywood Studios is smart. Standby wait times can be high at popular attractions, and, as we recently experienced, midsummer sun and heat aren’t always fun to stand in for extended periods. My husband and I made sure to cool down with a refreshing beverage from BaseLine Tap House while the kids headed straight for the gelato cart near Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. I definitely recommend scoping out some sips, snacks, and shade during your visit.

You are more than welcome to begin your day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park despite purchasing Lightning Lane for Hollywood Studios. The only caveat is confirming whether your tickets require theme park reservations. If you are visiting with a date-based Park Hopper Option single or multi-date ticket, you do not need to secure theme park reservations ahead of your visit. If you are visiting with an Annual Pass or select other ticket types, theme park reservations are still required. In that case, simply select Animal Kingdom as your starting park, and you'll be good to go! You'll be free to hop over to Hollywood Studios after scanning in at Animal Kingdom, but keep in mind that park-to-park buses typically begin operating at 11 am.

Don't forget that your Multi Pass purchase also includes downloads of attraction photos on the day of your visit as well as fun Disney PhotoPass Lenses available right in the My Disney Experience app. You'll find park-specific options and classic designs to add a little sparkle to your park day.

Tricia, I hope this clears up any confusion, but if you still have questions, please come back and let us know. We're always here to assist!

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
