I have a Park Hopper ticket and am hoping to visit all 4 in one day. I was going to start at Animal Kingdom since it opens the earliest, ride the Everest ride, and then hop to the next park at like 10am. Is this an option or is it only after 2pm?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Kelli.

I love park hopping and your plan to visit all four of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks all in one day makes me smile. My family and I love doing this and I know you are going to have so much fun. Right now, Kelli, park hopping does look a little bit different than it did before. Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evenings. So, you'll have a little bit of a late start to your park hopping extravaganza but I promise it still can be done! You'll just enjoy up enjoying a little bit more time at the first theme park of the day which isn't a bad thing at all.

Here is a quick overview on park hopping is currently working:

    • Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
    • Guests wishing to park hop must have a park pass reservation for the first theme park they'd like to visit each day
    • On the day of, Guests wishing to park hop must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservations first before continuing on to other theme parks. This sort of "activates" the park hopper pass each day
    • It is not necessary nor are you able to hold multiple park pass reservations for one day. Just the initial theme park you are planning on visiting needs a park pass reservation
    • To make park hopping a bit more convenient at this time, complimentary park to park bus transportation is currently being provided.
You'll want to look at how to plan your day now. Do you want to spend most of the morning at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park before continuing on or would you rather have a relaxing pool morning and then hit it hard closer to the park hopping hours? I don't think either one is a bad choice but I do love spending the morning at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. I like to get there about 45 minutes to one hour prior to the scheduled park opening time and make my way toward Avatar Flight of Passage. This is one of the most popular attractions at Walt Disney World and I like to experience it first thing in the morning before the line tends to get really long. After that, I normally make my way over to Expedition Everest or the Kilimanjaro Safaris and then switch. Those are my favorite attractions at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Then, the rest of the morning I like to spend snacking, walking around enjoying the sights and taking in a show or two. By then, it will be just about time for you to head to your next Walt Disney World Theme Park. Depending on the day, I am guessing the Epcot will probably be open the latest so I'd save that for last. If it were me, I'd probably go to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney's Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios and then over to Epcot but that's just a suggestion.

I hope you have such a fun day park hopping, Kelli. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help.

    Have a great day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
