If I have a park hopper ticket, can I enter Animal Kingdom first but get in the virtual queue for Guardians at 7am? Trip is in April 2024. Thank you 😊

    Hi Rebecca!

I'm glad you hopped over to see us here at planDisney to chat about what sounds like a practically perfect day of park hopping!  Tickets with the Park Hopper Option allow you to enter all four parks if you'd like on any given day so you can start your morning in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and end your day watching Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom Park.

Rebecca, making use of time-saving features like Virtual Queues is a great way to maximize your time hopping around Walt Disney World Resort.  Virtual Queues are currently available for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and TRON Lightcycle / Run.  All guests can join a Virtual Queue at 7:00 AM from anywhere if they have a valid theme park admission for that day.  Theme park reservations are no longer required for date-based tickets so your date-based ticket with the Park Hopper Option will let you join the Virtual Queue at 7:00 AM regardless of where you plan to start your day.  However, if you have a ticket that still requires a theme park reservation, I did chat with a Cast Member who shared that you would need to have that reservation for EPCOT in order to join the Virtual Queue in the morning.

If you aren't able to join the Virtual Queue at 7:00 AM, there are some other options available so you don't miss this attraction!  A second opportunity to join the Virtual Queue will open at 1:00 PM, but you do need to be in EPCOT in order to attempt to join.  You could also choose to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane if that works better with the timing of your plans that day.  You can access both Individual Lightning Lane purchases and Virtual Queue selections from your My Disney Experience Mobile App while in the parks.

Also in the app, you can take advantage of Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering during your busy day of park hopping.  It's my favorite tip to save time in the parks!  You can choose from a variety of Quick-Service locations, select your return time, and place your order.  When it's time to pick up your order, you simply tap that you've arrived and, in just a few minutes, your order will be ready!  If you're in EPCOT for your Virtual Queue and ready for some lunch, I recommend mobile ordering from Regal Eagle Smokehouse located in the American Adventure pavilion.  I love the BBQ Jackfruit Burger - it's delicious and a unique offering!

Rebecca, I hope this helps as you plan a day filled with thrills around your favorite Disney parks!  Please stop by to see us again here at planDisney with any other vacation planning questions you have in the future.
