Hi, Sandi! Welcome to planDisney! I love when fellow Washingtonians stop by.
Thank you for trusting us with this great question about
Disneyland After Dark Events and Park Hours!
If you have a park hopper ticket on a date when
Sweethearts' Nite will be occurring but do not have a ticket to this special event, you will be asked to leave Disneyland Park at 8pm and will need to hop on over to California Adventure to enjoy a bit more time in the parks. However, schedules are subject to change, so to confirm park hours for the date of your visit, check out the home page of the
Disneyland app by clicking "All Hours" or visiting the
Hours & Events Calendar on the Disneyland website.
The Hours & Events Calendar is an incredibly helpful resource, Sandi, not only for providing park hours, but also includes an entertainment schedule, attraction closure information, as well as the events occurring during your visit. Make sure you've selected your specific dates and park at the top.
While I was checking the Hours & Events Calendar, I couldn't help but notice
World of Color Happiness! on the Entertainment Schedule. This nighttime extravaganza on the waters of Paradise Bay was created especially for
Disneyland's 70th Celebration and inspired by Walt Disney’s words from the opening day of Disneyland Park seven decades ago: “To all who come to this happy place… welcome!” It may leave you a bit misty-eyed (or perhaps a little more than your eyes if you have a spot near the front). Again, it's important to know that the schedule can change at any time.
For a free viewing spot, join the virtual queue on the Disneyland app at 12pm the day you're in California Adventure. (I always set a reminder on my phone, so I don't forget, as I'm usually quite distracted hunting down the seasonal churro at the cart by
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.)
Well, Sandi, I hope this information has been helpful! And from the bottom of my heart, I hope you have the most magical visit.
See you real soon!
McCayla
