Hi there Keith and thank you for coming to planDisney with your question! I'd like to extend to you a very Royal welcome and hopefully grace you with some of my Princely
Park Hopper knowledge.
During our Walt Disney World Resort vacations, we enjoy taking a leisurely day to cool off and drift along a lazy river at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park, before heading into one of the theme parks for the evening. In February, it appears that
Disney's Blizzard Beach water park will be open and operating, so pairing this with a competitive round (or two) at
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf is just a simple walk away. However, I recommend that you take a look at the
Hours & Events Calendar to confirm what will be available to you before your upcoming trip just in case!
To be honest, we have also found ourselves in similar tricky situations ourselves with the current
Theme Park Reservation requirement, requiring us to go to the initial park that we had reserved that day and entering through the turnstiles before turning around and heading elsewhere if we ever changed our minds. For your trip next month, it appears that you may have to do the same if you decide to make the switch in the middle of the day! After a lot of buses back and forth over the past year, we have learned two sure-fire strategies that may help avoid unnecessary treks:
- Firstly, the earlier you know whether you'd like to change your mind about which park to visit, the better and more chances you'll have to make modifications. Even from within the water park, I've pulled up the My Disney Experience mobile app to verify whether there were still reservations available for where we intended to go instead and quickly modified our reservations before going back to our busy day of lounging around.
- We have had also had some success speaking with friendly Guest Relations Cast Members who have been able to make last-minute changes for us which is helpful but never guaranteed. As a guest staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort, I would recommend paying them a visit at the desk before you set off on your day.
Come on back to planDisney any time you'd like to
ask me questions for tips and strategies to make the most of your time in and around Walt Disney World Resort. Wishing you the best on your Aquatic Adventure and Happy Hopping!
