Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's off to Walt Disney World Resort we go! Welcome to planDisney, Michele!
Oh boy, you're going to be traveling to The Most Magical Place on Earth this spring and I'm absolutely twitterpated for you! With the
Park Hopper option, you'll be able to visit your desired second park anytime after 2 PM without needing to make a second
Theme Park Reservation! You just need to make sure you visit your first park of the day, the one you made a reservation for, before hopping to another park. In the rare occurrence that your second park is at capacity for the day, you'll receive a notification on your phone through the My Disney Experience app. My husband and I love to have Park Hopper tickets when we travel because some of our favorite parks are even better at night! We love to see the native plants and foliage of
Pandora - The World of Avatar light up in all of its bioluminescent glory, and
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge truly feels like you're in a galaxy far, far away once the evening hits.
If you plan on using the
Disney Genie+ or Individual Lightning Lane services (or both!), you'll be able to secure rides in both the first park and your second park.
A great pro tip from my fellow panelist, Phillip: remember that only two Individual Lightning Lane entrances can be purchased per day, so you may want to select one Individual Lightning Lane entrance for your first park and a different one for your second park.
Character meals are a great way to bring the magic directly to you! There are several available experiences, such as
Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort,
Garden Grill Restaurant at EPCOT,
Hollywood & Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios,
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White at Disney's Wilderness Lodge,
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort, and
Tusker House Restaurant in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
Michele, ALL of these restaurants are wonderful. I'd recommend choosing your restaurants based on where you'll be that day (for example, Disney's Contemporary Resort is very close to Magic Kingdom Park) and what your travel party's favorite characters are. My personal favorites are Garden Grill Restaurant and Tusker House Restaurant! These restaurants are very popular, so you'll want to make your advance dining reservations 60 days prior to your trip. If you're staying on property at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you'll be able to make your reservations 60 days prior to your check-in date for the length of your trip (up to 10 days). If you're staying at a hotel off property, you can make your reservations 60 days prior to each individual date of your trip.
If a dream is a wish your heart makes, then I hope all your dreams come true!
See ya real soon!
