How does the Park Hopper pass work if you are only able to make a reservation to one park a day?

    Hello Colleen,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! Adding the Park Hopper Option is a great way add flexibility to your vacation itinerary. If you love the restaurants in EPCOT, you can dine at a different one every day and still be able to visit your favorite attractions in other parks.

If you are planning to park hop and have added the Park Hopper Option to your tickets, you only need to make a reservation for the FIRST park you plan to visit. At 2:00 PM, or whenever park hopping begins for the day, you can simply head off to another park, no reservations are required as long as you went to the park where your initial reservation was first. If, for some reason a park reaches capacity, you will get a notification on your My Disney Experience app. If you are hopping directly from one park to another, ask the transportation cast member as well. They can let you know. Finally, you can call (407)560-5000 for an automated message that will let you know if park hopper access has been restricted at any of the parks.

Even on busy days when there are no reservations left for parks, many guests have added the Park Hopper Option to their tickets, and several guests leave to take a break during the day, so you'll most likely be able to switch parks easily.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
