Welcome to planDisney, Carla! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. When it comes to planning your day with a Park Hopper ticket, the word "reservation" can actually mean two different things, so let's go over both to make sure you're all set for your adventure!
First up: if you're talking about
theme park reservations, which are required for some non-date-based tickets and
Annual Passes, you'll only need to make a reservation for the first park you plan to visit that day. So if you're planning to start your day at
Animal Kingdom, that's the park you'd need to reserve. Then, once you've entered Animal Kingdom, you're free to hop over to any other park later that same day at your convenience, and no second park reservation is needed. Just make sure you tap your ticket to enter that first park! That's what unlocks your ability to park hop with tickets that require park reservations.
Now, if you're referring to
Lightning Lane reservations using Lightning Lane Multi Pass, that works a little differently. You'll want to make all three of your advance Lightning Lane selections for the park where you plan to start your day. In your example, that would be Animal Kingdom. Then, once you've tapped into the first of those three Lightning Lane experiences, the system will unlock the ability to let you book additional Lightning Lanes in the
My Disney Experience app, including ones at a different park, like
EPCOT. It's a great way to hop parks and still keep the fun going with shorter waits!
Here's a tip: if you have a must-do attraction in the second park, like
Frozen Ever After at EPCOT, consider checking for availability as soon as your booking window opens up after that first tap-in. Some popular attractions still have great same-day availability for later in the afternoon and evening!
Hope this clears things up and gets you even more excited for your park-hopping day, Carla! Be sure to let us know if you have any more questions about planning your trip.
