Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Meredith. I see that you have a vacation planned to the
Most Magical Place On Earth in just a little over a month's time. You are going to have so much fun!
Park hopping is my favorite way to spend a Disney day. Since its return at the start of last year, it does look a little bit different than it used to.
Here's how park hopping is currently working:
- Guests wishing to park hop must have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
- Guests wishing to park hop must have park pass reservations for a particular theme park they'd like to visit each day
- Guests wishing to park hop must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation first before continuing to other theme parks later in the day
- Park hopping hours now start at 2:00 p.m. and last until each park closes in the evening
Depending on the time of day, Meredith, and where your park pass reservation is made for this may or may not work. I'm going to say though that it's not a likely situation because you mentioned traveling in the morning. When you take the
Disney Skyliner to EPCOT, you arrive at the International Gateway which is actually the back entrance of EPCOT. To get to the
monorail, you'd have to scan in and enter Epcot, walk to the front of the park, exit and then board the monorail to head over to Magic Kingdom Park. Because you would need to enter Epcot first, your park pass reservation would need to be made for that particular theme park. Also, keep in mind that park hopping hours don't start until 2:00 p.m. so you would have to wait until then to actually enter Magic Kingdom Park. So as you can see, this wouldn't really work out in your favor if you are just trying to get over to Magic Kingdom Park in the morning.
To get to
Magic Kingdom Park, I would highly encourage you to take direct transportation from your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Depending on where you are staying this could be a bus, boat or the monorail. It is going to be the most convenient and faster way to get to all the magic.
I hope this helps, Meredith. If you have questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have fun and enjoy!
Jackie H.
